Persian Tots is a parent and toddler group, currently organising meetings once a week in North West London. Whether one or both parents are Persian or simply interested in Persian culture, everyone is welcome to come along and join in.
Our activities encourage bilingualism, allowing parents and toddlers to practice both the Persian language (Farsi) and culture. Our activities include: Persian story-time, singing and rhymes, musical instruments, as well as drawing and crafts. We aim to introduce babies and toddlers to the shape of the Persian script in a fun interactive way.
Persian Tots helps to build a community for parents and toddlers to interact with other like-minded people. Equally the activities can prepare toddlers for Persian Saturday school.
The group is run by volunteers, many of whom are teachers of English or Farsi and also have children of their own. This is a great opportunity for them to pass on their skills and to interact with other bilingual parents.
